Walkon Wall Abutment
Are you creating a design where walkable glass needs to be placed against a wall or facade? This way you can add more daylight to an underground space, such as a basement. The Walkon Wall abutment is the perfect solution, for maximum daylight and a pleasant indoor climate.

Glass specifications: 62.5mm double laminated for extra safety
- Outer panel: 33mm clear tempered and laminated HST glass
- Cavity: 16mm Argon filled air cavity
- Inner panel: 13.5mm Clear tempered laminated glass with a coating for increased thermal efficiency
What does this glass specification mean?
- The glass has excellent insulation: comparable to HR++. The U-value is 1.1 W/m²K.
- ZTA value (also called G value) is 47%. This sun transmission factor means that 53% of the sun’s heat is blocked.
- Argon-filled cavity: this noble gas insulates better than dry air.
- Invisible low E coating reduces heat loss. This means heat stays outside in summer and inside in winter, while light transmission remains the same.
- The glass is “Heat Strength Toughened” (HST), is strenghtened by thermal treatment. This makes it extra strong, resistant to greater temperature differences and safer.

The Walkon Wall abutment comes with a full assembly kit with an installation manual for experienced construction workers or enthusiastic do-it-yourselfers.
The walkable glass simply falls over the upstand like a lid on 3 sides. This upstand is pre-made and embedded up to the top with roofing material (not by Dutch Roof Design):
- Minimum height: 150mm
- Width including weathering: 100mm
There is a wall abutment on one long side to mount the rooflight to the wall.
The Walkon Wall abutment is 1 by 2 meters.
