Rooflight flat roof
Maximum daylight through the absence of a visible frame: this is the innovative design of Dutch Roof Design.
The glass of this Rooflight lies flush in the frame. This means that rainwater runs off easily. This keeps the window clean and prevents any green tarnish.
Glass specification: 28.8mm safety glass
- Outer panel: 6mm Clear HST tempered glass coated for increased thermal efficiency
- Cavity: 14mm argon filled air cavity
- Inner panel: 8.8mm Clear HST Toughened laminated glass
What does this glass specification mean?
- The glass has excellent insulation: with HR++. The Ug value is 1.1 W/m²K.
- ZTA value (also called G value) is 63%. This sun transmission factor means that 37% of the sun’s heat is blocked.
- Argon-filled cavity: this noble gas insulates better than dry air.
- Invisible low E coating reduces heat loss. This means heat stays outside in summer and inside in winter, while light transmission remains the same.
- ‘Heat Strength Toughened’ (HST) or toughened by thermal treatment. This makes the glass extra strong, resistant to greater temperature differences and safer.

The pitch simply falls over the upstand like a lid.
Specification upstand:
- Minimum height: 150mm
- Width including weathering: 75mm
- Pitch: minimum 3 degrees
The sizes on this webshop are always the outside dimensions of the upstand. This means that the opening seen from the inside is smaller.
For example: a 1 x 2 meter roof window has the following dimensions:
- 1000mm x 2000mm: outside kerb dimensions
- 850mm x 1850mm: inside dimensions before inside finishing

The rooflight comes with a full assembly kit (kit, screws etc) and with an installation manual. Enthusiastic do-it-yourselfers also install our products themselves.
